#100 Johnny Bye Bye

“With a whole lot of trouble running through his veins”

The only poem I ever wrote about a celebrity was about Anna Nicole Smith because she was deserving of such homage.  No, but seriously, when she died (and Michael Jackson), it inspired a poem about celebrity deaths and how no one remembers their innocence and capitalizes on their tragic deaths, turning their lives into a freak show.  No, I totally lied.  Oh my God! How could I forget my Clarence Clemmons poem?  Wow, he did inspire a poem of homage.  You’ll find it somewhere on this blog.  Actually the sadness of his family, friends, and fans inspired it.  I felt a tremendous loss for someone I didn’t even know but who had impacted my life in some way.   Now Bruce, if something happened to him….what am I talking about?  Bruce is going to live forever! ;)  He had his own trouble, not drugs, not excess, but darkness, and that will be running through his veins up to the end.  His trouble will not be bashed, but will be paid tribute, and how many people really get it….???
